Pushing the limits.
This weekend is going to be awesome, and it just might take everything I have to get through it.
On Friday, Garth and I make our return to ConnectiCon, one of our favorite shows of the year. It’s where he and I first met, too! We have a lot of history with ConnectiCon, we are heavily involved in its programming, and we’ve made some lifelong friends as a result of attending it. We’ve had the pleasure to be featured as Guests for years, and we are so grateful that the staff still considers us worthy of such a lofty status after all this time.
Also on Friday, I return to the burlesque stage to reprise my role as Joe Newsroom in Revenge of the Robot Battle Nuns for two final shows. Yes, that’s two shows in one night. Our first performance played to a sold-out audience, and we’re fully expecting to sell out one or both of these second shows. The Slaughterhouse Sweethearts have really brought their A-game to this year’s production, and we’re very proud of it.
Two hugely important events on the same night, though ConnectiCon lasts the entire weekend and Revenge of the Robot Battle Nuns is a Friday-only engagement. Was I forced to make a choice between them? No. They both mean a great deal to me, so I’m pushing myself to the limit. I decided that I will attend ConnectiCon on Friday from the morning until the mid-afternoon, at which time I will drive back to the Boston area to perform in the back-to-back Revenge of the Robot Battle Nuns shows. Once those shows are done, I will drive back to ConnectiCon that very same night, where I will finish ConnectiCon weekend in its entirety selling merchandise, meeting readers, and hosting the Cosplay Death Match.
It’s going to be an intense and insane weekend, but I’m looking forward to this test of my endurance. I hope to see you there.
