Between four and five.
Issue 4 came to its conclusion yesterday and we couldn’t be happier with it. Garth was really pleased with the script from the get-go, and knocked this Issue out of the park with his artwork (as he always does). I even got to surprise a couple of friends with an early cameo.
Issue 4 was an important one to us. In our first three Issues we saw Danica flying around kicking ass, like a proper superhero should. Laser blasts, impenetrable shields, swords made of light that cut through starships; all the proper dressings of space powers and heroism! We felt it set a tone of invincibility, and it was one we were eager to literally rip apart with the coming of the Countess’s legionnaires. We even chose to activate the emergency lighting on Void Archon’s flagship to mirror the levels of Danica’s panic. And that of the Void Angels. Before they were literally ripped apart, too. The Star Power may be incredible, but it’s not the most incredible thing out there.
As we’ve stated before, there’s going to be an extended break between now and Issue 5, which will be the conclusion of this storyline. Friday and the rest of February will feature updates spotlighting the many races of the Millennium Federation. It only comes to a three week break, where we’ve normally taken two weeks between Issues. We’re excited to show you folks some lore that would otherwise go unmentioned in the comic!
Thanks for all the awesome feedback for this and past Issues!
We hope you enjoy the upcoming profiles, and we hope you’re as excited as we are for Issue 5!
