A starry soundtrack.
I wanted to blog about my experience at Boston Comic Con this past weekend, but I have nothing to write about. It’s not that I had a bad time or was bored. It’s just that nothing extraordinary happened. I had a nice time. I met some nice people. I sold some books. But because I was by myself at a convention within driving distance of my house, I didn’t have any adventures. I attended the show, sold merch, ate dinner, then went home and slept in my own bed. A nice weekend, but not exactly the makings of an interesting blog post.
So I’m going to talk about one of my favorite things today. Music. Music is a vital part of my life, and an integral part of my creative process. If I’m not listening to music while I’m writing, I’m using music to inspire future writing sessions, brainstorm upcoming stories and character arcs, or break through creative blocks. I like recommending the music I’m listening to, so I’ll do that today.
Listed below are the songs that have inspired STAR POWER in some way, whether I consider them to be theme songs, soundtracks to scenes, or simply something I heard that got my brain moving in a direction relevant to the comic. Give them a listen if you feel so inclined. This music gets the thumbs-up from me.
