After these messages, we’ll be right back!

Issue 22, which is part 2 of STAR POWER & THE CHOIR OF DOCTOR HYMN, came to its conclusion yesterday!  We hope you folks liked the second chapter in this strange, (hopefully) suspenseful tale.  We realize this story is moving at a much slower pace than our previous adventures, but this is done very much on purpose.  We’re used to moving very fast through stories, chapters, and sometimes planets for STAR POWER, so slowing things down for a “slow burn” has been a wonderful experiment for us.  We hope you folks are liking the simmer, too.

It also brings us to our usual between-Issue break.  Normally we like to do a two-week break with filler, but once again we need to do a three-week break before we can start posting Issue 23.  There are a few reasons for this, and in this interest of full disclosure and keeping our wonderful readers (that’s you) in-the-loop, here they are:

Numerous conventions in March, the complicated nature of many of Issue 22’s pages, and a brief technical scare with Garth’s computer caused us to fall somewhat behind schedule.  You probably didn’t notice it here on the site since there was never a break in page updates, but if you’re a Patreon supporter we failed to get some of our rewards out to you before they were posted online, for which we apologized.  An extra week allows Garth the breathing room he needs to comfortably produce enough pages to get to our temporary colorist.  It also gives her ample time to get accustomed to working with us and our color palette.  We’ll make proper introductions when we’ve posted new pages.

We hope you folks understand the need for another slightly extended between-Issue break.  We don’t like taking them, but with any luck this will be the last one for some time.  Fingers crossed!
