Books and other things to come.
Lots of things to mention today, so let’s jump right into it.
Thanks to the success of the Star Powered Kickstarter, we’ve been able to fund a limited hardcover run of Star Power and the Ninth Wormhole after all! Backers of the campaign were given the opportunity to upgrade their pledge, and those who have been waiting to see us (or discover us) on the convention circuit will have the chance to buy them from us in person. We don’t know how many we’ll be able to carry with us, since hardcovers are heavy, but we’ll bring along as many as possible. Both softcover and hardcover will be available online as well. More information on all this as details are solidified.
Speaking of big, heavy books, the second Dominic Deegan Omnibus will likely be going up for pre-order next week! Last year the pre-order window was only a month long, but this year the window will be two months. So from November through December, you’ll have the chance to pre-order the second omnibus, which will contain every remaining story in the comic’s eleven year run. It’s going to be a big book, and there will be an intriguing pre-order incentive in addition to a lower price. I’ll be making announcements for this everywhere and often, but keep your ears and eyes open next week.
Now that business is out of the way, here are some other snippets of things that are going on in the life of yours truly:
– Halloween is this week! My favorite holiday! – Devin Townsend’s new album(s) are released today! A DTP follow-up and a sequel to Ziltoid the Omniscient! I can’t wait to get my hands on these. – A Skeletor-themed baby shower was thrown for us this past weekend. This actually happened in my life. Pretty awesome. – The only comic books that bring me any joy these days are Atomic Robo, Aquaman, Captain Marvel, Red Sonja (written by Gail Simone), and Saga. I highly recommend these titles. I will likely be reading the new Squirrel Girl comics when that series begins, too. It will likely be joyous because Squirrel Girl is amazing. – By the end of this week, I’m probably going to be a homeowner. Wowzers. Cross your fingers that no bureaucratic surprises pop up, because those are not amazing.
