It Feels Strange to Blog About Anything Else Right Now.

I don’t have much to say today because it feels wrong to be trivial, and it feels selfish to blog about things concerning myself. No one has guilted me into feeling this way. This has come from the powerful wave of protests sweeping the country and being witness to them, as well as coming to realize every horrible thing that’s led up to them. What I have to say about anything else feels unimportant, and perhaps rightfully so. There are big things happening right now, and the focus needs to be there.

I’m really only writing something today to fill up space. I didn’t contribute any blogs last week for the very reasons listed above, but I also didn’t want to have the blog space go inexplicably silent. I like communicating my feelings with you folks through these entries, but I also feel it may be time to step back and shut up for a while.

There are great funds and charities to donate to. There are marches and protests still going on. There are big things happening, and even if you can only participate in little ways, everything helps.

Black Lives Matter.
