Kids Love Comics!

The title of today’s blog isn’t only a verifiable statement, it’s where we’ll be this weekend!

Okay, that reads super weird. Let me explain a little better.

Garth and I have been invited to be a part of the KIDS LOVE COMICS PAVILION at Baltimore Comic Con! This is the first time we’ve been in the kids’ section of any convention, so it will be an interesting experience for us. I confess I was surprised when we received the invite, as this is an invitation-only section of the exhibit floor and not something anyone can apply for, but the Pavilion managers are fans of STAR POWER and thought we would be a great fit! So we said “yes!”

And the more I thought about it after we accepted the invitation, the more excited I became. Selling comics to our peers is awesome, but selling our comics to kids is next-level amazing. It brings me back to when I was a boy, browsing the shelves of my local comic shop with wide-eyed wonder at all the adventures waiting to be had, and at all the places my imagination was waiting to go. So when a kid comes to our table at a convention, peers through our books, and says, “Mom? Dad? Can I read this?” I get chills. Every single time.

If you’re in the Baltimore area this weekend, come see us in the KIDS LOVE COMICS PAVILION! If you don’t have kids yourself, you can pick up our books as a present for any little ones in your life. Because, as the title and our location states, kids love comics.
