Music of the spheres.

Music is very important to me.  It inspires me, riles me up, or calms me down, depending on what I need from it.  Readers of Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire know I’m a huge fan of heavy metal, but my tastes are not exclusively metal.  Jazz and classical music are another two great loves of mine.  Everything else I like or dislike on a song-by-song basis.  Electronic, bluegrass, hip-hop, classic rock, and even some pop songs are all on my radar, but they’re not genre-wide loves like my “big three.”

When I’m writing Star Power, I have a number of songs that are my “go-to” for inspiration nowadays.  Here are a few of them, and they come highly recommended from yours truly.

“Save Our Now” – The Devin Townsend Project “Giants” – Enslaved “Thunderbird” – Iron Savior “Hyperdrive” – Devin Townsend “Planet Smasher” – Devin Townsend “Galaxy Bounce” – The Chemical Brothers “Planet Caravan” – Black Sabbath or Pantera “Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity” – Gustav Holst “Stellarvore” – Watain

There are many more, but I’ll save those for future lists.
