New opportunities for old hands.

2016 has proven to be a strange year when planning our annual convention tour.  Some shows that we considered staples have decided to move in a different direction, and we were sad to see those doors close for now.  As a result of that, however, new opportunities have opened up and we are excited to try out some new venues in some new cities.  Or at least some are brand new.  Others are shows we’ve attended before but are returning to after a year or greater absence.  However you word it, we’re shaking things up a bit for 2016!

I’m sad to say that, for the first time since 2007 I won’t be returning to A-KON down in Dallas, TX.  I had a great run at that show when I was exhibiting solo for Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire.  When Garth joined me to represent Star Power, he became as enamored with it as I was.  The people there have been some of the kindest, warmest, and most unique individuals to come visit our table.  Maybe we will return next year, but we will sadly be absent in 2016.

In its place, on that same weekend, we will be making our return to AWESOME CON!  It’s a very different venue with a very different crowd, but we had a blast when we first exhibited in 2014.  We met some really sweet people and got to talk comics with a lot of cool attendees.  We’re eager to make our comeback to this awesome convention (see what I did there?) and hope you’ll join us!

Another new opportunity will be our return to ANIMAZEMENT in May!  Well, it’s a new opportunity for me and Garth will be the one returning.  He’s exhibited there for years, but I have never had the chance to attend.  Now we’re a team and we’ll be there together!  I wonder if I’ll become as enamored with that show as he is, and we’ll have some A-KON-esque role reversal?

The weekend before we rock CONNECTICON (you better believe we’ll be there) we’ll have the unique opportunity to be a part of ESCAPE VELOCITY.  We’re still working on the details, but we are equally excited and intrigued by this new experience.  We’ll share more with you as we finalize our involvement.  This should be fun!

Up and down the road we go!
