Not knowing.

I’ll be honest.  Some days I just don’t know what to write about here.

There are many things I could easily write about.  My love of heavy metal.  The joys of classical music and jazz.  The trials of being a new parent and a work-from-home dad.  How I’ve fallen out of practice with my amateur astronomy and stargazing.  The crippling levels of snow piled up in our New England town.  Which video games I’m playing, books I’m reading, or comics I’m enjoying.  My opinion on any number of topical subjects, though I’m trying to avoid politics these days.

But despite all these subjects, some days I simply don’t have anything to say about them.  Some days there’s just nothing new to speak of.  Sometimes I worry that whatever I choose to write about will be boring, or just a dull retelling of an earlier blog post.  I imagine many of you couldn’t care less about my fatherhood adventures.  You’re here for a sci-fi superhero space adventure, not a parenting blog.

In the past I’ve occasionally left the blog space blank when I’ve had nothing to say, but I’ve come to view that as unprofessional.  We want Star Power updating every single weekday, whether it’s a new comic page or a blog post.  So I’ll find something to write about and do my best to make it interesting…

…even if it is an entire post about not knowing what to write about.
