Nothing to talk about.

Every Tuesday and Thursday we update the blog section.  For the most part it’s my responsibility, and Garth chimes in when he has something he wants to talk about.  Usually it’s me, talking about whatever is on my mind.  Sometimes I have difficulty trying to determine what to talk about.  I try to make these blog posts as interesting as possible, whether it’s about my personal life, about STAR POWER, geek stuff, politics, music, or anything else.  But today I’m having trouble determining what to blog about.  Most of what’s on my mind amounts to little more than a Tweet or a Facebook update.

So today, instead of trying to force the matter and blabber on and on about something I’m not really interested in talking about, I’m going to abstain from blogging about anything.  I’m going to chalk today up to writer’s block and hope something more compelling strikes me for Thursday’s update.

I realize that was probably the wordiest way to say “I’m not going to talk.”  I can’t help myself but be wordy sometimes, even when I’m trying to be brief.  I have to, like, explain why I’m going to be silent instead of just shutting up and being silent.  That way, I… there I go again.  Sorry.

I do talk a lot, though.  It’s rare that anyone can get a brief answer out of me.  If brevity is the soul of wit, then I have the soul of a witless dummy.  But I can’t help it.  Silence is awkward to me in social settings.  I feel the need to be the one to get conversations going.  Part of that comes from being on panels with silent audiences, and having to fill a lot of time.  You resort to letting anything and everything fall out of your mouth in the hopes that something, anything, will come from it and spark real discussions and interactions.  I suppose that… gah.  Sorry.

Done for real this time.
