On burlesque, backgrounds, and comic books.

Last year I had the privilege to be a part of something really special.  And delightfully twisted.  I was asked to play the part of the Narrator in The Slaughterhouse Sweethearts’ production of their original burlesque epic, REVENGE OF THE ROBOT BATTLE NUNS.  I had an absolute blast and was thrilled to be asked to reprise the role for this month’s repeat performances.  If you’re in the Boston area this or next weekend, and have a taste for the tantalizingly bizarre, then REVENGE OF THE ROBOT BATTLE NUNS is for you.

Garth and I are aware that some folks are having issues with the site’s background.  Whether it’s the bigger stars blocking out certain letters in our blog posts, or whether the background isn’t showing up at all and the blank whiteness is making our posts (including this one) all but unreadable.  We’re still tweaking some design choices around here, since the site is still relatively new, and we thank you all for being so patient with us.

And finally, today is new comic book day!  Be sure to visit your local comic book shop and explore what new stories and worlds await you.  Whether it’s superheroes, gritty detective stories, sword and sorcery, science fiction, or autobiographical fare, there’s something out there for you waiting to be discovered (as Carl Sagan would say).
