Trying to keep things relevant.

New fatherhood is taking up ninety-nine percent of my time, so I’m trying to think of other things to write in today’s blog that aren’t “OH MY GAWD LOOK AT MY SON HE IS THE CUTEST BABY EVER BORN DID YOU KNOW HE IS SCIENTIFICALLY THE CUTEST THING EVER WHY IS HIS BIRTH NOT ON THE NEWS AJKLFDNSGFJKNklnfdsl” and so on.  But in an attempt to keep things somewhat geeky around here and not turn my Tuesday / Thursday entries into a baby blog, here are some other things I’ve managed to put my mind to when I’m not freaking out over my son’s scientifically proven cuteness:

– I still love playing WildStar.  I find the story engaging, the gameplay fast and fun, the character design charming, and the world entertaining.  I played World of Warcraft for close to nine years, and while I enjoyed my time on Azeroth (and must admit that the new character models look amazing) I believe my time there has come to an end.  The ending to Mists of Pandaria was very satisfying, and now the world of Nexus has captured my interest.

– There is less than a month left to pre-order the second Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire omnibus!  Take advantage of the price discount and the very limited edition prints!  Read the info in the news post below the front page!

– I’m still getting my fantasy fix with Dragon Age: Inquisition.  I’ve fallen behind on story mode with the birth of my son, as it’s difficult to get immersed in the (so far) excellent story when a baby can start wailing for attention at any moment.  So, for now, I’m keeping my gameplay to the multiplayer mode when he’s asleep or is occupied by my wife or my visiting mother-in-law.  Just this morning, however, he was napping in my lap while I played.  Got to get magic spells and clashing steel into his dreams somehow.

– If you’re a backer of our Star Powered Patreon, you already know how this current Issue ends, and you’ll get a sneak peek at the thumbnails for Issue 8!  We pull the curtain aside and give our Patrons a look behind-the-scenes at Garth’s amazing artwork and process.  It’s really amazing.

Now if you’ll all excuse me, I need to go back to fawning over my son who is the cutest little GUY EVER OH MY GAWD HE’S SO ADORABLE MY MIND CANNOT HANDLE IT I SEE THE VOID BETWEEN THE STARS IA IA CTHULHU FHTAGN I TRAVEL THROUGH THE GATES OF THE SILVER KEYhbuifbndfndsfsx…
