Down to Dallas once again!

This weekend Garth and I make our return to A-KON, a massive convention with a history of being one of the most memorable I attend all year.  Some conventions are memorable in both good and bad ways, but in the many years I’ve been going to A-KON I’ve only had incredible, awesome stories to tell when I come home.

Such memories include:

– A young woman telling me she grew up reading my comics. – Being told that someone’s friend, who tragically passed away after a battle with cancer, found solace in my work during her last days. – Getting a tray of cupcakes celebrating the eleven years of Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire’s run.  There was one cupcake for each year. – Regularly getting baked goods from friendly readers. – Doing panels before some of the most enthusiastic crowds on our convention circuit.

I see old friends there and am eager to meet new faces.  If you’re in the area, I highly recommend coming down to A-KON.  If you’re not in the Dallas area, I recommend making the trip if you can.  You won’t regret it, and maybe you can help Garth and me make some new memories.

About Michael

Michael Terracciano loves comic books, superheroes, outer space, and telling stories. His friends call him "Mookie." He spent the last ten years as the author and artist of the fantasy webcomic, "Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire." He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three cats. His favorite planet is Jupiter because it's awesome. He wants having superpowers to be fun again, and for this to be a universe you want to escape to, not from. He hopes you enjoy reading Star Power.
