Hot off the shelves!

The biggest piece of news to mention today is that we’ve set up a print-on-demand option for our issues / chapters.  We already offer digital downloads of our full issues through DriveThru Comics, but if you prefer to have physical copies you can now order them through Quick Comics!  We’re proud to have Issues 1 and 2 up for sale.  Issue 3 should be ready to go by next week, both digitally and physically.  As always, you’ll have the choice of waiting the Monday-Wednesday-Friday update schedule to see what happens next, or acquiring the remainder of the pages ahead of time.  We think it’s a good deal, and we hope you do, too.

I think that’s one of the reasons why I like the current “free to play” business model of some video games.  It follows the webcomic model!  Webcomics are free to read but offer “bonus material” (i.e. merchandise) for those who like them enough to support them.  Some video games are more generous than others with this, but the model is pretty similar.  The global juggernaut League of Legends (which I don’t really play any more) offers custom skins for your favorite characters, and the charmingly addictive DragonVale (which my wife and I play more than we should) gives you the option of paying for the dragons you want instead of hoping you’re lucky enough to breed them.

It’s nice to see creators in any field working hard to produce their very best material in the hopes that the quality of their work will translate into support.

He spent the last ten years as the author and artist of the fantasy webcomic, "Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire." He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three cats.
