No Filler Til Kickstarter.

Normally, when we’re between Issues around here, I like to put lore goodies or in-house advertisements as updates. I feel it helps the site stay “alive” while we’re not moving forward with a story. I put a Kickstarter announcement up last Wednesday, and that’s what’s going to remain until Monday, July 1, when the Kickstarter for STAR POWER & THE CHOIR OF DOCTOR HYMN launches.

It may seem like a lazy decision, but I feel it’s an efficient one. All I’m going to talk about for the next month is this Kickstarter because that’s what you have to do when you’re running a Kickstarter. Instead of clogging things up with Kickstarter ads that are slight variations of the same thing when the campaign hasn’t even launched yet, I decided to leave the one simple “save the date” filler up. It does the job nicely and saves space for future Archive dives.

Enjoy this lack of in-house ad filler while it lasts, though. We’re going to be endlessly talking about the Kickstarter through the month of July. Don’t be surprised if we go back to a Monday-Wednesday-Friday update schedule for July, but one of those days will be dedicated to plugging the Kickstarter. You’ve been warned.

Kickstarters are important for independent comic creators, and as much fun as it is to make comics, sometimes you have to get down to business.
