The finish. The kill.
Last week my wife and I went to our first NXT live event. My mother came up to watch the little guy so we could have a date night. The dorkiest professional wrestling date night ever. Anyway, we were super excited and I was wondering if the show was going to live up to our lofty expectations. The match card was solid, with great exhibitions of the roster’s talent, and it was really fun to be a part of such a rowdy crowd, but there were no real surprises… until THAT FINISH OH MY GOD NOBODY SAW THAT COMING IN A MILLION YEARS HOLY CRAP DID THE CHAMP JUST LOSE THE TITLE AT AN UNTELEVISED LIVE EVENT THAT JUST DOESN’T HAPPEN IN PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING WHAT THE HELL ARE WE SEEING IS THE THE CHAMP REALLY HURT ARE THOSE AMBULANCES OUTSIDE FOR REAL OR PART OF THE SHOW I CAN’T JUST DON’T NOT EVEN CAN’T DEAL AAAAAAAH!
Yeah. We had tons of fun and the show exceeded our expectations in ways we could not have imagined.
Today I’m excited about the newest level of HITMAN becoming available. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the episodic format of the new game, but having only one level to play for the last month forced me to try out new approaches, attempt new challenges, and discover aspects of the story that are only revealed through multiple playthroughs of the same scenario. It works very well for HITMAN and I had lots of fun with the first level. I’m looking forward to sinking my teeth into level two and discovering all the new ways to perform that signature finish. Agent 47 is my guilty pleasure hero.
