Weekend update.

I honestly can’t believe I made it through this past weekend in one piece.

Friday I attended ConnectiCon and left early to drive back to Boston to perform in a double feature of Revenge of the Robot Battle Nuns. I drove back to ConnectiCon in the middle of the night and hosted the massive Cosplay Deathmatch the next day.

I spent the weekend constantly “on”; meeting and greeting readers in the ConnectiCon exhibit hall, staying on-stage and in-character for the entirety of two Battle Nuns shows (my character never left the stage), keeping my energy levels up for the Deathmatch, and staying conscious enough to drive my family home at the end of it all.

Despite the strain on my endurance, I had an incredibly fun weekend.  Highlights included: – An excellent Detective Quilt cosplay from “Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire.” – Great Star Power fan art (or Observations as we call them around here). – Rocking out to Mastodon’s “High Road” with the Ginyu Force. – The entire cast of Revenge of the Robot Battle Nuns shouting my name during both curtain calls. – Spending time with Garth offline is always a pleasure.

I had an amazing time, even if the weekend’s circumstances pushed me to my limits.  Between a short break in conventions and Garth’s upcoming summer vacation (more on that later), we’re going to enjoy some recovery time.
